Note: I’ve separated marketing and promotion here to spread the load slightly.  As a result this marketing section will be focused on smaller format promotional items like business cards and social media materials.

Self promotional may not be every professionals’ favourite past time but it is a necessary one.  The job is a lot easier when your brand/identity is something you are proud of.

Taking the identity and reformatting it to things like business cards and social media profiles is a fundamental, and simple, part of promotion nowadays.  you’ll find yourself going out of your way to network or ‘accidentally’ leave your business card lying around.
